DeBarge was a family pop-R&B band from Detroit that first formed in 1980. The group had some strong success throughout the early and mid 80s, most significantly with the singles “I Like It” and “Rhythm of the Night”, with the latter single eventually going platinum. After experiencing numerous internal troubles, DeBarge released their final album in 1991 to poor sales, “Back on Track”, and eventually split in 1992.
