After the release of his first solo album, Coverdale put together, what would eventually become Whitesnake. During late 70's and early 80's, Coverdale enjoyed success with Whitesnake in the UK, but by the mid 80's, Coverdale was hellbent on cracking America. He finally achieved success in the States, with the band's self-titled 1987 album. However, in 1990, Coverdale ended Whitesnake and took a break from the music bussiness. During the 90's Coverdale worked with Jimmy Page (which resulted in one album) and performed a few times with a reactivated Whitesnake, but Coverdale didn't fully reform the band until 2002. Since then Whitesnake has recorded two albums and kept touring around the world. « hide
