The Comets, formally known as Jacky Yoshikawa & His Blue Comets, is a long-running Japanese rock group that first formed
in1957. Predating the "group sound" craze that would become quite popular in Japan by almost a decade, Comets would
eventually become quite influential in the development of the scene, and eventually had nationwide popularity throughout the
1960's and 1970's. In 1984, the group disbanded, and obtained unarguably the longest run of any band affiliated with the group

The Comets, formally known as Jacky Yoshikawa & His Blue Comets, is a long-running Japanese rock group that first formed
in1957. Predating the "group sound" craze that would become quite popular in Japan by almost a decade, Comets would
eventually become quite influential in the development of the scene, and eventually had nationwide popularity throughout the
1960's and 1970's. In 1984, the group disbanded, and obtained unarguably the longest run of any band affiliated with the group
sound scene. Comets, then still known as Jacky Yoshikawa & His Blue Comets, began having occasional reunion shows
throughout the 1990's, until one of the members, Daisuke Inoue, committed suicide in 2000. This put the group on a hiatus,
although they returned temporarily in 2002, and later officially reunited in 2008, and later changing their name simply to Comets
