Clawfinger is a crossover metal band from Stockholm, Sweden.Their basic (old-style) metal is combined with hip-hop style singing, often in the political or personal vein; and some electro; their overallsound however is much more metal than it is industrial.After their debut-album deaf-dumb-blind, that sold quite well (600k+), they were often seen as the European counterpart of Rage against themachine.They could sustain their popularity in Europe during the course of the 90's, even if their subsequent albums sold less then their debut.The arrival of new forms (groove-metal, nu-metal) and the lack of creative development of the band help explain their rather low profile thesedays, even when they still make decent albums.
