Caramell was a Swedish dance-pop group that was active from 1998 until 2002. Initially only a moderate success in their homecountry of
Sweden,Caramell suddenly had a surprise resurgence in 2006 when an internet meme centered around a sped-upversion the group's
"Caramelldansen" singlewas made. Due to the huge international success that came from the meme, some ofthe members of Caramell reunited to
form Caramella Girls in2008.
