Blowfly was an alter-ego of Clarence Reid, born and raised in Georgia. As Blowfly, Reid is considered to be a tremendous
breakthrough for both his extremely risque comical lyrics, as well as being one of the very first artists to use hip hop in his
music. In January 2016, Reid passed away from terminal liver failure at the age of 76.
