Blake Babies was an underground indie rock band from Boston. First formed in 1986, they soon had impressive success acrossthe northeast part of
the US and soon globally, but ultimately ended up disbanding in 1992. They had one last tour whichspanned from 1999 until 2001, and they reunited
another time in 2016. Frontwoman and one of the vocalists of BlakeBabies,JulianaHatfield, has notably had a strong solo career since Blake Babies
split, and is one of the most iconic womeninunderground indiemusic today.
