Big Syke

Tyruss Hymes, better known as Big Syke and previously Mussolini, was a rapper from Inglewood, California. Hymes first got his big break as a member of the rap group Thug Life, which was founded by rap pioneer 2Pac. When Thug Life folded in 1995, he then joined 2Pac as a member of his second group Outlawz, under the name of Moozaliny. Following 2Pac's death in September of 1996, Moozaliny changed his name to Big Syke, and went on to release four albums, a mixtape and four singles under that name. Beginning in 2009, Hymes largely retired from the rap circuit, appearing on only three singles from 2012 through 2015 as a guest, before passing away in December of 2016 from unknown causes at the age of 48.
