Aucifer (officially written as Λucifer and read as "lucifer") was a popular Japanese visual kei band. The band was formed as the real-life version of the band in the manga Kaikan Phrase of the same name. Because of that and the huge success of Kaikan Phrase, Aucifer had great commercial success from 1999 through 2001, with their 1999 debut album "Limit Control" being their biggest success, reaching number 6 on the Oricon charts. Aucifer would release two more full lengths before disbanding in 2003. They temporarily reunited from 2010 through 2014.
