1 Gud Cide (previously written as One Gud Cide) was a hip hop duo from Texas. Formed in 1991, the duo were one of the most
popular underground hip hop acts of the 90's Texas hip hop underground, and were critically acclaimed for their lush
instrumentals and vivid descriptions of their ghetto environment. After releasing only a few singles and two albums, 1 Gud Cide
ended up going on a hiatus in 2000, before officially disbanding in 2002, primarily due to growing internal tensions.
