This is actually a good review. Sadly The Strokes are yet another band with an insufferable fan base that can't appreciate the diversifying sound. Stone Temple Pilots also come to mind -- if it isn't grunge then it must suck, right? I wish people would listen to music for what it is, objectively, without injecting their own biases and predispositions. For me, I heard Angles first and liked what I heard, and then wasn't as impressed with Is This It due to the overhype. It's all about what you hear first.
