yeah its laidback n stuff
but My Skin My Logo is cute and psychedelic and hot within three minutes
a lot of the tunes are really cleverly done and just because they're not the hardest&most self-insistent pop songs ever doesn't mean the album has no substance
its more like this style suits solange so perfectly the music doesn't have to brag

I've yet to see her live
but I'd like to imagine like, how Thundercat came out with short songs but in live settings he expands on them, that Solange embellishes the shorter songs with more active sections and details.
