"if you knew what happened here years ago you'd knew it was already ruined"

Is that an emo band name, song title, or album title?

"Is that an emo band name, song title, or album title?"

probably is

@cyg well i wasn't here but at around the beginnning of 2010 there was this user called MichaelJordan
who pretty much started a revolution against this album (and almost screamo in general), and basically
did it, originally this had a 4.4 with like 600 or something votes before MJ got around, then there
was an influx of negative votes and in like two months this got a billion ratings and dropped to 4.1
lmao

Basically he started a revolution like I said

hundreds of threads and lists, prompting people to review the album negatively, etc

basically any way he can posibly give the album attention (negative), he did it

"love how if you don't like something you have to justify it. as if enjoying it is the default"
if you can't justify it you obviously don't get it
- Agreed, god, I love you tree.

"Obviously you have to have a reason to give it a low rating, if you don't you're just a troll."
lol?
- Dead serious.

That's a really dumb thing to think. Most times it's just gonna come down to the songwriting so the
only way you can assess it is by how many people like it

Here it is!

remember that this was actually sent to the band members. this happened:

I actually sent this as an e-mail to Drew Speziale (drew.speziale@gmail.com) of Circle Takes
the Square, to which she later responded:

Subject: The Apocalypse, the White City, etc.

Drew Speziale,

Your band, Circle Takes the Square, has a song by the title of "A Non-Objective Portrait of Karma."
This titular "non-objectivity" you describe must in some sense be a reference to the concept
developed by the brilliant Russian Suprematist painter and intellectual Kazimir Malevich around
1915. It's either that or you're saying that it's "subjective" (id est, ~O). If it is a reference to
Malevich, I demand that you retract it immediately, as your song's association with his deathless
work can only act as a shitstain on an otherwise pristine legacy.

Quite obviously, I do not like your band. I suspect that you must yourself be cynically aware of the
way Circle Takes the Square cultivates an aura of pseudo-authenticity. This is accomplished by its
lo-fi "rawness," its deliberately "unexpected" transitions, and its seemingly "heartfelt" lyrics.
You simulate depth but it's really just trickery and illusion, a trompe l'oeil. All that is really
produced is hateful vacuity. There is no sophistication to your music, only ceaseless buttfucking
into the smegma of Time.

YOU ARE THE COSMIC TWAT. Your wretched complicity with the forces of cultural degeneration and
Unreason is accursed of the LORD. Renounce this horseshit; go forth and sin no more.

I am, etc.,
