My god I hate nearly every second of this. Gross. Brrr was the last chance for a saving grace and it started strong then she started singing.
Unironically the best instrumental on the album for sure though, it’s actually dope

Kim’s creative decline is and has been in full force and it’s tough to watch yeah
|
| |
“Creative decline” implies that she used to not be awful which I have never seen any evidence of, plz provide

Fuck, my gf is going to jam this for months I just know it.
"I don't want it" is the only decent track I can think of atm

I could see it happening, not for good reasons mind. I've been hearing her Nicki minaj collab track everywhere I go.

Don’t remember saying that but definitely used to be a stan yeah. Very much stand by my Clarity review tho!!
@jesp agreed

that bratty voice she does on Coconuts when she repeats "everybody loves the twins" legitimately makes me want to die

“Just seems cheap. An album from an artist that almost exclusively writes about sex and the best they can do is "Hit it From the Back." I just wish there was more effort. Examples of better song titles:
Wet the Whistle in the Back Alley
Take the Rear Tunnel to Happy Town
Give Me the ole Animal Treatment
I Wish I Couldn't See Your Face
Happiness is Seeing the Wall Move Forward and Back”
A few more to add to the pile:
Take It Down South and Lead It to My Mouth
Death by a Thousand Inches
Bangin’ on the Boulevard of Broken Rubbers

Putting coconuts (a two year old song at this point) just feels like padding.

@norma 1 min in and this is already better than anything else I’ve heard by her. I assumed all her stuff was a meme. Why did she decide to become a meme?

That adage about pop eating itself applies here ig
Her trajectory has always been downward, everything since clarity has been increasingly watered down. Bit of a shame really. I’m sure her creative team and whatever contract she has/had with Luke has played a big part in the quality dip
Glad you’re enjoying clarity to some extent though!

Only thing is I don’t think she has enough charisma or a unique enough voice for the lyrical content to really matter. This is only better because the production isn’t a complete joke. It doesn’t really matter if she’s singing about crying or singing about throating mad dicks because she’s boring. That’s probably why she went the direction she did. She needs the shock value to be relevant. The people producing clarity could just supply those tracks to any other pop star and they’d handle it all the same.

Should have just kept the decent beats and made it nice cold cock instead of ice cold heart I guess
