YOU KNOW YOU'RE RIGHT
I Think this is a fabulous song, the one new song on this album. starts off quiet then goes heavier at choruses, typical nirvana. Very catchy and good Lyrics. 7/10

ABOUT A GIRL
A Good Song, Origianally On Bleach. Pretty Catchy and one of Nirvanas more sentimental songs. 6/10

BEEN A SON
Amazing Song, sometimes overlooked, Originally on a Single, also found on Incesticide. Good Riff and pretty funny if you think about the Lyrics 9/10

SLIVER
A Little Repetitive but good bass riff. Good little Story about Neglegance though. 7/10

SMELLS LIKE TEEN SPIRIT
Originally found on the massive Nevermind album, its a Good song, sometimes overplayed and always associated with Nirvana as if they had one song, but good riff. A Good Anthem. 8/10

COME AS YOU ARE
An Excellent Song, also found on Nevermind, a good to play on guitar and bass if you are beginning. Easy Riff and Easy Solo. Also has variations of Powerchords and just the 1 string. One of my Favourite Nirvana Songs 9/10

LITHIUM
the Third Song to be found on Nevermind, Great Song about a Nervous Breakdown and interesting lyrics. good solid riff most of the way through 8/10

IN BLOOM
The Final Song Originally from Nevermind, very good riff, I Love the Lyrics and the drum beat (although i dont play drums) is very good. 9/10

HEART SHAPED BOX
Nirvanas Best Song, and my favourite. The Only Song here to get 10/10, great riff, great lyrics, great solo, sticks in your head and the Video is brilliant. As i said before - 10/10

PENNYROYAL TEA
One of Nirvanas lesser songs for me, Im not such a bigger fan of this song as i was a few months ago, i feel its a bit repetitive, however most of my friends and other people do like it, so It isnt a bad song, i Just dont like it. 5/10

RAPE ME
A Very Contreversial Song, but a good one. Catchy and Rebellious :), god riff and one of the best. 9/10

DUMB
A Brilliant Acoustic Song, very catchy and probably the Best on the Unplugged ablum. Originally found on In Utero. 8/10

ALL APOLOGIES
Now this is either a good song or a bad song, depending on which versio you are listening to. This one on the Greatest Hits is Unplugged, which Ithink is the good one, and its a Very good one. but the Version On In Utero is poor in comparison. But, this one is U plugged so its very good, a little depressive, but thats Nirvana! 9/10

THE MAN WHO SOLD THE WORLD
A Brilliant Riff, a David Bowie cover. I feel the nirvana version is better though and its amazing. 7/10

WHERE DID YOU SLEEP LAST NIGHT?
A Brilliant, catchy version of the Leadbelly song. Very good song, although Kurt's voice sounds as if it was re-breaking near the end, its a very good song. 8/10

Overall Rating: 9/10 Good Selection of Songs by Krist and Dave.

Radio Friendly Unit Shifter, Drain You, and Aneurysm should all be on there IMO.

Yeah good review, and although there was so much more that could have been on there, eg Radio Friendly Unit Shifter and Polly, still well worth 9/10.

There is really no point to this album, I hate best of CD's they serve no purpose. If you already have all the other Nirvana albums there is no real reason to buy this one, unless you wanna pay $15 for "You Know Your Right" which you could just download for free. This was a pathetic attempt to make a quick buck and is a total waste of money.

I'm going to have to disagree. Greatest Hits are awesome as introductions to a band. I got into Nirvana through this cd.

I hate that "You Know You're Right" song; it's been saturating the radio far too much, even now!

Well then if you only like a bands mainstream hits, then buy their best of. Best of albums IMO don't really show that band for what their worth. Usually they are just the mainstream hits that the band has produced or the well liked songs from a few albums hint the title "Best Of".

They may not have been mainstream radio hits, but pretty much all of the songs on this album are huge amoung Nirvana fans espically "Poll", "Dumb" & "About A Girl", the only one on the album that has been neglected would be "Been A Son" and the whole Unplugged set was a hit amoung fans & people who really werent fans of Nirvana.

Eh, it's an okay compilation. My problem with this review is that you lookd at it like Gen X did; as a bunch of catchy riffs and lyrics. Kurts genius was in the emotional power he put behind all of that, and tracks like Pennyroyal Tea are literally Nirvana's best for that reason. You gave that one a 5/10...but About A Girl 6/10? AAG is a fair song but there is no way anything off of Bleach overshadows anything off of In Utero, with the exception of "Dumb" or "Milk It," which are IU's inferior tracks.

Yes. Same with Polly, or Something In The Way.
