Yes, the heavier parts sound better now, but the ambient parts for sure sound worse. If you spend money on re-recording a record, why not put more effort into it sounding the best possible? Now we have two versions that have sound issues lol

| 4.5 superb | FrozenFirebug | November 11th 25 | Soma's intro bass is a downgrade. Weightless' overdubs are detrimental and the drums are too loud in its quiet parts. Certain electronic/ambient sections are less prominent than you might be used to, but at the same time they fit the new recording's approach, and having them louder may have thrown things off. Nearly everything else (guitars, vocal performance, instrumental mix, drum tone, production) is an objective upgrade.
