New Borknagar Album Title 2009-04-12 by Hawks | 41 Replies | 1392 Views |
PRESS RELEASE APRIL 2009
Album title revealed: UNIVERSAL
The title of the new BORKNAGAR album will be nothing less than: UNIVERSAL.
As the musical and lyrical approach of the album has shaped up during the production of the new album, the title UNIVERSAL is the title that shines through and mirrors the essence of the album. UNIVERSAL is a title that is broad enough and huge enough to project the giant character of this album, both musically and
lyrically.....
The production of the new album is going as planned and the album will be mixed at Toproom studios by the end of April. We can assure you that the new album will come with a massive, energic and vital production that few can match, by far
the best production we have had so far. The album is planned to be released
through INDIE RECORDINGS in September, later this year, an actual date will be issued later!
On behalf of BORKNAGAR,
Øystein G. Brun

I roffled again.

This is just too much.

Ahahahahahaha.
|
| |
Yeah the title isn't great, but the album should be.
|
| |
Why don't you add it and give it five stars already...
|
| |
No, the album will most probably be terrible.

Wow dude you're hilarious. Its not my fault you have a negative opinion on everything.
|
| |
Borknager sucks, hawks is an idiot, etc, etc
|
| |
Wow who knew you would come in with a stupid ass comment too?
|
| |
Hawks rules, actually.
|
| |
Wow who knew you would come in with a stupid ass comment too?
dont beat me up
|
| |
123. Early Borknagar ruled, I haven't heard anything post Garm though.

Balls I'm pretty sure you would like their later stuff. Check out Empiricism and Epic.
|
| |
Hawks rules, Borknagar hasn't released anything interesting in 10 years, end of story.

Well at least you got one part right lol. I respect your opinion though Wiz.
|
| |
well Origin was pretty cool, but otherwise he's right
|
| |
Thanks Hawks. Actually, didn't they put out an acoustic record? If they did that, I should give that a listen before jumping to conclusions such as the one I just posted.
|
| |
Yeah, its called Origin
kicks ass
Epic is also pretty good in my opinion, but whatever
Post-Garm definitely isnt as good, but it isn't bad. Just uninteresting.
|
| |
Origin was very cool, the rest isn't that amazing but worth a few listens. I should check out the early stuff though

Yeah definitely check out the first 2 albums. Both are great pieces of viking black metal.
|
| |
The first few Borknagar albums are ok I guess but give me Empiricism and Epic any day.
|
| |
My two favorite Borknagar albums are The Olden Domain and Empiricism so I like both the old and new albums. Quintessence is the only album I don't really like that much.
|
| |
So stoked. I'll be downloading this long before it comes out in fucking September. Vintersorg for the win.
|
| |
Finally someone agrees with me that this band rules for the most part.
|
| |
Well, so much for unbiased news.
|
| |
How is this biased? I took this right from their myspace.
|
| |
Yeah do it man. And how the hell have you never heard of Borknagar lol? They're one of the more popular Norwegian bands.
|
| |
Popular meaning 100 people know about them.
|
| |
Norwegians are the shit!
|
| |
King Diamond and Mercyful Fate are the shit too! And the Norwegians made black metal popular man.
|
| |
actually the overhyped media covering the church burnings made black metal popular
|
| |
Which was done by the Norwegians.
|
| |
/missed the point
|
| |
Not really because I understand thats what made black metal really popular. Can't forget about the killings and suicides.
|
| |
Well Vintersorg is Swedish, and he elevates the band to ear sex, so forget about Norwegians and their silly corpse paint. "Empiricism" - "Origin" are all amazing albums.
|
| |
Theres still a lot of good Norwegian bands though. Then again black metal is my favorite kind of music so I'm a little biased on this subject.
|
| |
How is this biased? I took this right from their myspace.
Are you saying that you're surprised a band would exaggerate the quality of its own works? I really doubt that this album will be "huge enough" to be considered UNIVERSAL, musically or lyrically.
|
| |
Ok I didn't really understand you. I thought you were saying I was biased towards the band. I get what you mean now man.
|
| |
Basically, I'm agreeing with rasputin. I like the band's first few albums, by the way, although I don't think there's anything special about them.
|
| |
Ok I get you now.
|
| |
Oh look, another band who incorrectly thought they'd have longevity and didn't do anything about an alternate career and now are forced to peddle the same ideas rehashed.
