Deftones: Update On Chi Cheng 2008-11-06 by Flyboy | 10 Comments | Earlier today, Chino Moreno, vocalist of sacto based band, Deftones posted up an update regarding Chi Cheng's coma status resulting from a car crash accident this Monday. He had this to say:

Hello Everyone,
I am back from up North visiting our brother Cheng. His condition remains the same - serious, but stable. We, along with the entire Cheng family, would like to extend our gratitude to everyone that's said a prayer or sent out their positive thoughts to Chi. Your support means more than you know
During his recovery process, Chi's mother has asked that each day we spread a little bit of good in his name. So each day Deftones will be posting what you can do to help Chi recover. Today, she has asked that you all remember to buckle your seat belts, and remind those you love to buckle up. By doing something so little in his name, you will be helping him find the strength to recover.

Chi's condition has'nt changed much as of yesterday, he is still in a coma but very stable condition, I have been in touch with Abe and he is there along with the other members of Deftones and Chi's immediate family. He is with people who love him very much and thats very important for him right now, I as well as many others want to be there with him but only family members are aloud to be near him, so I am doing whatever I can on this side to send him positive engery and keep in my thoughts throughout my entire day. I want to thank you as well as Abe and the rest of the Deftones and family for all the emails, comments and even profile pics that people have posted on our site and theirs. I have known Chi for a very long time, one of my favorite people on this earth and is a brother and a best friend, so I know Chi is a very strong person and if anyone can get through this it would be the mighty Cheng. So keep him in your thoughts and with everyones love and support we will all get through this and Chi will soon grace us with his amazing smile once again. So thank you everyone it means that world to us for your support..

thats so sad, like i dont really like the deftones but i was watching the interview about them picking the setlist and Chi was like
sometimes he throws a bunch of fretless songs and im like i dont have a fretless bass then hes like "go fuck yourself"
then he like threw the other guy's drink to the ground,
i lol'd so hard, he seems like a very friendly and funny dude and he better get better
