Sad to see Eveline May is no longer with them, will miss her vocals, but anyway excited for the album. The single is amazing.

Sounds pretty good. I'm sure it will sound even better in context with the rest of the songs.

This song gets better and better. I've listened to it at least 15 times since yesterday. Love the chorus.

The Dune conversation on the Dvne thread finally made it click for me that Dvne is simply pronounced Dune.

Can’t tell for sure but it sounds like there may be a faint female harmony in the choruses of this song. Maybe Eveline still has vocal contributions on recordings?

Getting a little bit of the nerves that they're following the "prog metal band gets tired of metal and leans into watered-down stoner rock" path

buuuuuut it's still pretty good

"prog metal band gets tired of metal and leans into watered-down stoner rock" path

Think it's a liiiiittle too early to call that based on the track listing. But yeah, this track is a definitely simpler than most of their output.

For some reason I always thought it was a hipster spelling for the word “Divine”

This sounds a lot more like prog than stoner. Also, weren't they always a bit stoner, like Mastodon/Elder type stoner? I remember really digging their debut, haven't listened to their other stuff tho

Great song. There's quite a lot going on in some sections actually, I don't know that I'd call this "simple" but it's definitely formulaic.

But I love their formula so I love this.

By the way, apparently some of the source material for their lyrics comes from the novel Hyperion. Which is one of my favorite books of all time. Highly recommend a read!

... ooo perfect timing. I am trying to get more into sci-fi. Started with three-body and have got through half the series in just 1 week lol.
