Follakzoid return with V 2023-08-25 by Raul Stanciu STAFF | 5 Comments | The Chilean-born psychedelic/krautrock/trance act, Follakzoid announced the release of a brand new album, V due out on September 22 via Sacred Bones. Regarding this latest project, guitar player and mastermind Domingae mentioned:
"Follakzoid grows via depuration, aiming with each record to fill longer spaces of time with fewer and fewer elements. And like the best techno, kraut, and psychedelia have proven throughout time, sometimes the most minimal framework is the strongest container for transcendence. Which is what Föllakzoid have achieved with V, an immersive opus that takes the listener on a seductive journey straight to the dance floor.
"V" was meticulously crafted over a month. Over 70 individual stems including guitars, bass, drums, synthesizers, and vocals were meticulously intertwined. Guided by remote producer AtomTM, these intricate stems formed four sequences, defying conventions and producing a hypnotic, boundary-shattering auditory experience that envelops listeners."
First single "V-II" can be listened to below:

dafuq is this
| | | I liked the first three albums, then they went into a completely different direction. .(
| | | Yeah, this isn't their original sound anymore. Still, I listened a lot to last two records just to space out or while playing on my PC.
| | | Saw a reverb listing by the guitarist last year. He tried to sell his 2014 Fender Classic Player Jazzmaster for 6000€ trying to justify the price with by him having played it on their records and having toured with it. I happen to own a 2014 Fender Classic Player Jazzmaster so I know they went for 1000€ new and now usually go for around 700-800€ used.
Guy seems to be a bit full of himself if he thinks he’s „famous“ enough to sell gear at a 500% price increase just because he touched it…especially considering the condition it was in.
Have been really turned off of this band ever since then.
| | | Yeah, I saw that sale, don't know if it was sold at that price in the end lol.
