Cherubs remix/remaster debut 2023-06-14 by foxxxy | 8 Comments | Cherubs are reissuing their 1992 debut LP 'Icing' with a brand new mix and master from the original source tapes, handled by Eric Wofford (Explosions in the Sky, Young Widows, The Black Angels, Cherubs' Immaculada High). The new release also includes updated artwork by Cherubs' own Kevin Whitley.
The reissued album will be available from Brutal Panda Records on August 4th. Formats: vinyl, CD, cassette, and digital.
Brutal Panda Records are also re-pressing their 1994 classic 'Heroin Man' and their 2015 comeback album '2 Ynfynyty'. As if that wasn't enough good news, those albums are also available to download on Bandcamp with a minimum price of $0.

i disliked Icing when i first listened but this 2023 Sugary kinda rips. i'm optimistic

The new cover art sucks too but at least I can look at it in public. Then again all their covers kind of suck besides Heroin Man. Immaculate High is kind of cool too.

Also the first album is called Icing as an Easter egg homage to King Coffey, if you pretend the I and C make a K then it looks like it says “King”. Thought that was kinda cool.
