Arch Enemy Post New Song

2007-08-01 by Dave de Sylvia EMERITUS | 17 Comments
A brand new Arch Enemy track has been posted to label Century Media's official website, as well as the band's official MySpace. 'Blood On Your Hands' is taken from the forthcoming album Rise Of The Tyrants, due September 25.

“I know there is a lot of excitement out there amongst the fans to hear this new album, so we thought it would be cool to give you all a sneak preview," said guitarist Michael Ammott.

"‘Blood On Your Hands’ is the opening track on Rise of The Tyrant and it kicks the album off with a huge bang! It’s a full on, no holds barred slab of classic Arch Enemy where the whole band is going for it 110%. The song was a blast to write and record and now we are looking forward to playing it live. To me it captures all aspects of Arch Enemy perfectly with just about as much guitar as it’s possible to cram into four and a half minutes. Enjoy!”

Pretty cool song, maybe a bit boring, but great verse, chorus couldve been a little better.

The short interlude after each chorus was amazing though, it reminded me of John Liiva era work, particularly "Silverwing" off of "Burning Bridges."

Solid.

They could have picked a better single. The Last Enemy is a much better song. Still, I like the amount of layering they put into this album...the amount of guitar solos and lead lines is more than any other album they've done.

That was such a solid song. They just keep getting better. And Angela is getting better with age, so much better than their other shitty vocalist. This Message Edited On 08.01.07

Great song! The myspace wouldn't play for me, but then I remembered I already had the entire album and had never listened. :p This so far is definitely pushing the Gothenburg sound out of the realms of shittiness. Angela's voice is vicious.

Album is really good. Better than Anthems of Rebellion and better than I remember Wages of Sin and Doomsday Machine being.

I'd have to say this is their best album ever. At least on par with Stigmata.
