bad as per usual
| |
I dig the riff. Vocals aren't that bad but they're not great, mediocre essentially. Better than that clip was forecasting. It's an aberage song for the most part, not bad like that clip showed.
| |
Well, it's definitely Rise Against, doesn't seem to bring anything new to the table though.
| |
Like this band quite a bit, but can't imagine this song or album being particularly great. Will give it a listen later.
| |
pretty solid song tbh imo lol
| |
The Sufferer and The Witness is the last good album these guys made.
| |
Yeah I'm with @flugmorph. Why is everyone on here so damn negative all the time
| |
where the fuck is the new alexisonfire at
| |
Solid song for sure, but nothing too impressive. I just hope they build upon and add more energy to the framework that was layed out on The Black Market.
| |
Why is everyone on here so damn negative all the time
we're not but thank you for establishing your feeling on when people don't like the shit you love you giant peen
| |
giant peen [2]
what's that
I really enjoyed some songs off Appeal to Reason way back.
| |
It's okay, but why does their production have to be so damn clean? Those gang vocals are weak af
| |
Solid song I can't wait for the new album.
| |
Not bad, but sounds like Rise Against on autopilot. Wanna see them try something new for once
| |
Song itself is fine, but the delivery feels plain.
| |
I dig that riff but the song is still Rise Against not doing anything new although I think they're making their final steps into a straight up rock band. It's a shame Tim is losing his voice, there's not much he can do about that.
| |
This band becomes a parody of themselves more and more with each passing release.
| |
diet cola punks are back..
| |
Nothing special but solid like past songs RA. I'll check album when it's out.
| |
The pilot is asleep with his feet on the dash at this point.
| |
It pretty much follows the same formula they've been using for years now but its a formula i kinda like so the songs pretty ok
| |
What was boring as hell
| |
tim sounds listless as fuck on this one. song is very meh.
| |
Familiar sounding, but pretty good.
| |
Solid song.
| |
why would rise against bring anything new?
| |
This band is still a thing?
| |
I love this band but at this point it's just the same song over and over. Yet they're still capable of making them somewhat interesting/different.
| |
It's definitely a Rise Against song...
| |
I used to love this band but now... boring albums and awful live performances
| |
Yawn
| |
Solid lead single tbh - band obviously isn't doing anything new sonically, but if they can capitalize on the political climate right now in a way that doesn't sound totally saccharine, the album should be at least listenable
| |
meh
| |
it's decent
| |
nice, a new anberlin song
| |
Song is inoffensive. Please just scream more on the album or something cause this song really didn't do much. The Eco-Terrorist In Me was miles ahead of so much of their recent material simply because it had some intensity
| |
Production sounds exactly the same as the black market, which I like but the production is one of the only things that changes from album to album
| |
well that was a 4 minute slice of purgatory
The Sufferer and The Witness is the last good album these guys made. [2]
| |
Not feeling it. It's not terrible but it's a pretty standard Rise Against song. I like Rise Against but they're a lot more interesting when they're creating nice melodies. This sounds like a song that was rejected on TSATW and replaced by one of the weaker songs on that album.
| |
Fucking awesome song. Some of ya'll must be death lol.
The song has fantastic edge, great riffs, good vocals, and it's catchy. What more could you want?
| |
I'm stoked for this album!
| |
miss when this band had some fire
| |
Don't know why someone would waste their time on rise against these days
| |
awful song, band is just going through the motions
| |
upon hearing this a second time i can confirm that this is the worst rise against song. they sounded less uninspired back when they were just aping bad religion's sound. there's an orange sociopath in the white house and these fucks can't do anything but churn out the same boring platitudes? hard pass.
| |
They have to be fucking with us right? Single on 4/20, album on 6/9, like Jesus Christ
| |
i dig it
| |
fantastic edge, great riffs, good vocals
we're not listening to the same song
| |
This is the last thing I wanted to hear from these guys; more of the same shit. I'd rather it be flat out bad. At least then they'd be taking chances. Man, I used to freakin' love these guys.
| |
This isn't the worst Rise Against song. It's still better than some stuff on the last 3 albums. Would be their worst song if this was 2006, yeah.
| |
self parody
| |
Somebody needs to slap a performance out of Tim for fucks sake
| |
This isn't a dream? Okay star gazer.
| |
I liked it, it's catchy and has that feel that I expect/like from modern Rise Against. I'm excited for the new album. I've just excepted this is their sound now, and they pull it off well.
| |
I was hoping for new Rise Against this year, good climate for what they do.
Love them, they do what they do, and I'm glad they're still at it.
| |
one of the mehest songs i've ever heard. either tim's voice is going, or this is inexcusable, for the reason satellite said. so much political opportunity, and you're gonna release something meh?
| |
I expected worse. Those last two albums were much worse than this
| |
definitely better than the clip but lol tim's vocals are fucked these days
it's not bad actually i could see it growing, hopefully will be better than their last two
| |
Not too shabby. The chorus is cool
| |
man it's gonna suck having to sit through this for Deftones
| |
Meh.
| |
yeah i'd just leave after RA's set if i were you
| |
"The Sufferer and The Witness is the last good album these guys made"
Endgame is amazing. Killer track after killer track on that album. The Black Market was average as fuck though.
This is an ok track. Not great, not terrible.
| |
What made these guys decide to stop making interesting music
| |
Should have been half the length
| |
should have been 0% of the length. there are seriously no redeeming qualities in this song
| |
or is it all a dream?
| |
Is it just me or does this sound like an Against Me Song?
man it's gonna suck having to sit through this for Deftones [2]
| |
standard modern rise against song. catchy, easy listening, lacks bite. people who still love rise against will appreciate the fan service. everyone else will be bored
| |
that's a Rise Against song alright
| |
Yeah pretty much nothing happens in this song. Nothing memorable just mediocrity
Production also feels very flat
| |
Am I the only one here who legitimately enjoyed the black market? It's certainly no the sufferer and the witness but it's solid 3.5 material, miles better than endgame
| |
It's not bad...what else did you guys expect?
| |
a good song
| |
effort
| |
it's the most rise against song I've ever heard
| |
awoo
| |
Rise Against are the new otherkin/furry posterboys
| |
Yiff Against
| |
"it's the most rise against song I've ever heard"
what's the rise against you've been listening to?
| |
it's the most post appeal to reason rise against song i've heard
| |
^ [2]
art being a nitpicking arsehole again
| |
Trump's favorite band is Rise Against.
| |
i honestly can't picture tinyhands listening to music of any kind
| |
considering they're big on climate change and helping refugees I very much doubt it
| |
he's clearly talking about barron trump ya fuckin' dumbasses
| |
President Cheeto listens to punk rock legend Kid Rock.
| |
What are you all talking about?! This song is totally unique! Bunch of conservative fucks!
| |
Yep, that's a song alright.
| |
Wolves is much better than this.
| |
Not sure what I feel about this. Sounds like yet another radio friendly, neutered Rise Against song like pretty much everything they've done after Sufferer and the Witness.
Hopefully the new Strike Anywhere album that's apparently coming out later this year will just blow this out of the water
| |
we're getting new strike anywhere? fuck yes
| |
http://www.thepunkarchive.com/strike-anywhere/
Well Thomas said in an interview they're planning on releasing new material this year, whether or not this materialises this year or next remains to be seen
| |
Reminds me of Under the Knife off of TSATW but with less bite, it's still decent though...

"we're getting new strike anywhere? fuck yes" [2]
| |
Rise Against is great but they're not talented enough to make new material relevant to anyone who has already enjoyed their superior early work.
| |
It's pretty good, obviously not as fresh or energetic as their earlier work though.
| |
