God I love this sound
| |
Sounds pretty good.
| |
Pretty awesome
| |
HYPE
| |
Actually reminds me a bit of recent Kayo Dot albums. I'm digging this.
| |
I enjoyed it. Garm's voice is something else.
| |
Amazing as always yeah agreed.
| |
lmao black metal band doing shitty synthy post punk? neg infinity
| |
except Ulver haven't been a black metal band in 20 years. Nice try though
| |
lol
| |
They were so much better doing black metal though.
| |
Does Garm sing a lot! Pls say yes guys!
| |
Garm's voice is something else.[2] For sure. I can dig this.
| |
Damn that was good, some sweet Depeche Mode vibes.
| |
Thanks but no thanks. I'm not listening to anything new by Ulver until I see them at Roadburn this year.
| |
I have never been disappointed by Ulver.
| |
"They were so much better doing black metal though."
They've been so much better since they stopped doing black metal*
| |
Bergtatt is one of the most iconic black metal albums ever??
| |
SUCKS.
this song's p ok tho
| |
Is it though?
| |
Bergtatt is cool, not up there with the best BM albums for me tho.
| |
I don't disagree, ellioot.
| |
I would say ~1400 votes at a 4.4 average is pretty iconic.
| |
They need to add a V to beginning of their name . the band will be called vulver so it can sound like an Australian saying ''vulva''
| |
Shut up
| |
Garm tho
| |

| |
ok that was awesome
| |

| |
lol this is some pop shit. Sounds great though. What a transformation from their early years.
| |
"except Ulver haven't been a black metal band in 20 years. Nice try though"
wouldn't know, only listened to bergtatt, sucks they changed that.
| |
Looks like you're missing out then.
| |
shitty synth post punk bs qualifies as missing out to you? tragic.
| |
Maybe you should give Perdition City a listen then.
| |
"wouldn't know, only listened to bergtatt, sucks they changed that."
Well they've made a total of 2 bm albums (the other being Nattens in 1997) so it's pretty silly whining about the change now. Especially if you haven't even heard the all of 2 BM albums they released to even begin with
| |
oh wow I hate this
| |

not whining just sucks they went from making a pretty damn good album to eventually making this
| |
Well, that was awesome. Just pre-ordered it.
| |
These guys have been listening to Depeche Mode, but it sounds so good! Can't wait to hear the album.
| |
Gotta love Garm's voice
| |
'this song makes me want to come ulver my iPod'
do you, dude. do you.
| |
I like it.
This is right in between War of the Roses and Shadows of the Sun
| |
Loved it, hype
| |
Can't help but think if this was a totally different or new band, most people would be bashing it
| |
^^Band has done infinitely better, yeah, but it's still good.
| |
Is SteveOffProbation like some 13 year old metalhead or something cos he's coming across as such.
| |
Enjoyed it, nothing special though imo, but it was good.
| |
Feel basically the same as Voivod and Scuro. I wonder if the whole album will sound like this, or be mostly ambient instrumental music like their past few.
| |
This is excellent, really good choice of single. Makes me think of a more straightforward Blood Inside (my 2nd fave Ulver) sound
They've been so much better since they stopped doing black metal [2]
| |
Kayo Dot took that vibe and made it work well for them on Coffins. It even sounded like a surprisingly logical progression from Hubardo, which played to all their strengths.
| |
Wow that was boring and I love ulver.
| |
YES
| |
Don't like this. Too simple. Not very much going on for me.
| |
"Is SteveOffProbation like some 13 year old metalhead or something cos he's coming across as such."
nah, he's -torts
| |
this new Depeche Mode album is really shaping up to be good
| |
Does nothing for me, like elevator music.
Definitely not as good as I was hoping.
| |
Amazing track. Excited.
| |
Kinda meh. Not really for me. The production sounds great though!
| |

| |
Never expected this sound from Ulver but this is pretty solid
| |
Loved it. As almost always, Ulver evolves and it works.
| |
Ehhhh. Not sure about this. Would be a cool Depeche Mode single, but I want some D-Day Drone or England's Hidden type of stuff from Ulver. Can't fault them for once again reinventing themselves, but this one might be a bit to straightforward for me. I mean, I could see my dad jamming this...
| |
Would have turned it off after 5 seconds if it wasn't Ulver. So I lasted 1:50.
| |
I mean, it's better than anything they've done since Shadows of the Sun
| |
i really liked this
| |
No I just meant in terms of getting used to how much they change practically every few years.
| |
This started out pretty terrible but once everything started to build up it redeemed itself quite a bit. Sadly this style is gonna make Richard Spencer an Ulver fan
| |
Garm sounds so nice here
| |
alright i finally checked this
FUCKING RULES
| |
