no...just no

oh wow thanks dilton doobie!!!
| |
Far from masterful.
| |
Everyone is trying to capitalize on Pokémon now that it's supposedly "popular" again.
| |
Normally I'd agree that it's trending, but Issues have been playing this live for at least three years now, and they have full Pokemon guitar cabs and everything. They just finally decided to record a studio version of it.
| |
The world is now slightly better because of it.
| |
Tyler Carter the type of dude to say his favorite Pokemon is Charizard, filthy casual
| |
Steak, their entire live set is based around Pokemon now - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PRm7BdJyJl8
| |
So they're gen1 trash is what that set is telling me
Edit: Saw the Gold cartridge, at least it's not all gen 1
| |
Powerglove or GTFO

Now do the Pokerap
| |
This is a thing that exists. I don't know whether I'm happy or sad about that.

Completely necessary news
| |
This would be way better if they just put AJ on guitar,
| |
Don't these bands realize that these sort of covers just illustrate how inauthentic their actual music is?
| |
1. going viral has way more cachet than any sort of exhibition of integrity, you can literally measure yourself with perceived haters now
2. check my 8-bit megaman covers
| |
They probably just did this as a fun spur of the moment idea. I'm no fan but the idea is pretty good marketing.
| |
Now how did i know this would be Snide news before I even opened it
| |
"They probably just did this as a fun spur of the moment idea."
You mean like all of their albums?
| |
don't hate on pokemans or i'll fight u
| |
original song is a classic tbh
| |
This is about as cool as the 20 or so dubstep remixes of this theme that came out in 2012.
| |
Yeah VaxXi that always made me wonder, why did so many Pokemon related remixes come out in 2012?
| |
thanks dilton [2263748495059]

Marilyn Manson on guitar.
| |
I cannot stand this man's voice
| |
pretty good cover honestly
| |
why
| |
thasnk dolto
| |
Pretty sure the barrier of entry for a pokemon master is higher than recording a shit cover last time I checked
| |
gen1 or gtfo
| |
Doesn't sound too far off to the original. Still, this felt grating to my ears.
| |
dudes voice is extremely irritating
| |
Tyler's voice is fantastic though.
| |
The only time I've ever enjoyed his vocals was the chorus of Edge Of The Earth by Volumes.
| |
That wasn't Tyler, that was Volumes' old guitarist who did the cleans
| |
then that makes sense actually
| |
"Fantastic"
| |
Honestly, Carter is too talented to be doing most of the stuff he does. He'd probably be a lot more successful just making indie pop records and not gimmicky metal-core and cringey Pokemon covers.
But it's his life and his musical direction is definitely... different.
| |
Not bad. Honestly that song is inspirational AF
