Like the last single, this give off a more mainstream metalcore sound. yawn.

I agree they're incorporating more mainstream elements. The perspective I see it from is that the band are expanding their sound. They still put out technical and dynamic music with a ton of moving parts. Now their hooks and sing-along sections are getting stronger and often become a larger focus of the song. I don't see these guys attracting a ton of cross over fans with bands like Asking Alexandria. If they are, at least they're doing that sound better than anyone else in the genre.

band names don't get much rapier than that
|
| |
Awful album name, and decent song. Not to excited for this album.
|
| |
Dude's cleans give Skillet vibes.
|
| |
So good
|
| |
Definitely a bit more mainstream-y sounding than their previous stuff, but not really in a bad way. The aggression is dialed back a bit in favor of embracing their more melodic sensibilities, but the genuine energy and "forwardness" is still there.
Not bad. I'll probably pick this up when it comes out.

Looks like they keep going downhill. Their debut was fantastic, 2nd album was pretty good, and this is sounding like it'll be average
|
| |
didn't these guys used to be ok? this sounds like a more mediocre bullet for my valentine
|
| |
Yea their debut was pretty good melodic metalcore, but now it sounds a lot like mediocre bullet as you said
|
| |
never found them anything above mediocre
|
| |
Civil Isolation rules. This doesn't.
|
| |
What's with the awful mixing? The guitars are super low and distorted in the mix to the point where they sound just like a dull background growling during the verses and electronic bass beats at other parts. This sounds much more oriented toward a pop/electronic sound than metalcore.

sounds like a four walls 2.0

The sputnik article comments can sometimes be so opposite compared the silent majority. These guys have 3.9 averages on their two LPs released thus far.
Personally I feel that these two tracks have been some of the best music the band have ever written. If they keep this quality up, I reckon they'd top This is the Six and Brainwashed.
Additionally if you read into the album title, it's pretty cool actually. These guys have always been close with their fanbase and the title is paying homage to the fact that this record wouldn't have been made without those fans.

I like this and I think it's better than the first single.

Hear hear.

reckon it's pretty good tbh, these guys always cop flack on sputnik news articles
|
| |
I am excited for this, best sound of the metalcore genre
|
| |
Not really diggin either of these songs
|
| |
pathetically boring compared to past efforts
|
| |
Actually really like Hurricane. For those worried about them going mainstream I would think they picked the most accessible songs for singles.
|
| |
sputniks most overrated band. but fun nonetheless. track is again solid mainstream metalcore.
|
| |
"sputniks most overrated band."
No sir, that would be Brand New
|
| |
Or Converge
|
| |
Never understood all the love for these guys, This is the six had some good tracks, but their last album was pretty boring
|
| |
Gutted, last two albums were excellent really not keen on this or civil isolation
|
| |
Song blows.
