Fabio Linoe leaves Rhapsody of Fire 2016-09-29 by Toondude | 10 Comments | Italian power-cheese-metal titans have now officially confirmed that they have parted way with their longtime vocalist Fabio Lione. Linoe first joined the band in 1995 where he continued with them for every album since. Lione in the meantime has dedicated his full attention to his other band Eternal Idol, who is scheduled to released their debut album The Unrevealed Secret on December 2nd.
Lione issued a statement:
"Dear all, fans, promoters, colleagues. I anticipated this to all band members in the last 3/4 months and now I sadly announce my final decision to part ways with ROF. Ain't no words to describe what this band represents to me, and I'm proud to have been part of such a big chapter of the power metal bible. It's time for me to write a new chapter of my life, as a musician and as a man. I wish ROF all the best, may their magic go ahead stronger than ever..
Thank you Alex and Holzy, for this 20 years, ..Thanks You Roberto, for your friendship and Alessandro for your sincere attitude and honesty."
The band also responded:
"Dear Fans: We have to announce an important change in the band. After an amazing musical adventure together, Fabio Lione and Rhapsody of Fire have decided to part ways.
"The decision was not easy but we are convinced that it will open up new possibilities and new horizons for both parties.
"The music will go on. Rhapsody Of Fire will continue composing, producing and playing amazing music for their fans.
"To give us time to regroup, we will cancel and postpone the European shows announced for November 2016.
"Finally, we would like to thank Fabio for being part of the Rhapsody Of Fire history and we wish him all the best with his future projects."
