New Pierce the Veil song

2016-03-24 by hobblepot | 32 Comments
Pierce the Veil have released a new song from their upcoming album. Vic Fuentes said this about the new track: "It goes back to our roots and is going to be a fun song to play live. It's purely a self-indulgent song for us because it's really fast and that's what we grew up listening to. Lyrically, it closes the book on a relationship that I've been singing about over the last three albums."

The song, entitled "Texas is Forever" is available to stream here:

The verses are sort of boring, but the chorus is pretty good. I still like it. I like it a lot.

Feeling really weird about this. It's boring but it's well written, and seems like it was a good song on paper. Just comes across as nothing special I guess. Not bad by any means though

is it bad when you forget a song 10 seconds after it ends?

It sounds like Pierce The Veil. The chorus and bridge were good, but the verses were forgettable.

Hmmm, doesn't sound like something to get me excited about the new album. It's a fun track that might grow on me with repeated listens though. Will still give it a spin when it's released.
That album artwork is pretty bad though.

Both songs can't touch anything off Collide.

Better than Divine Zero, but weak compared to Collide. The hooks are relatively weak compared most of the songs from their last two albums.

sounds more like their previous "Before Today" sound, which I really enjoyed. the energy is also always consistent, with that said, can't wait for the album.

really tasty song, who would of thought this was going to be the one band holding up (mainstream) post-hardcore in the second half of this decade...

i liked the divine zero better but on both of these tracks, i find vic's voice really fuckin hard to hear if i'm not using an equalizer. it's like the instrumental is overpowering him all the time and i don't like it at all

bad for PTV standards, still pretty good tho regardless. chorus was really good, breakdown was weak. bummed out I'm not more hyped about this, but w/e.
