I'm disappointed with it. It lacks the whimsical nature of the last album.

It's enjoyable but he erased the poppy, imaginative edge that I loved about the last record. It's like what happened with Lights a bit.

Yeah, it's way too safe. It's not even campy which was Violet Cold;'s charm.

It's good for what it is, though. Kinda wish he woulda gone further into the 'Midnight Odyssey' sound he gets here and there, though.

the problem is him abandoning the shtick, not continuing with it. would rather have him advance and develop it tbh

Damn, I'm on Violet Cold's bandcamp and their back catalog has some cool shit. Some nice covers and chillwave shit. Wish he would have kept the diversity on the new record.
