Surprise Say Anything Album

2016-02-04 by NordicMindset | 30 Comments
California pop-punk/emo band Say Anything have announced the release of their seventh studio album, I Don't Think It Is, which can currently be streamed on the band's official's website, http://www.sayanythingmusic.com/.

The news was dropped in surprise fashion, as no hint of an album release was given prior to a post on the band's Instagram page that stated "You know what? We're gonna stream our whole new record tonight and drop it on Friday. Enjoy." The album is set to be digitally released tomorrow, while physical copies will be available for purchase starting on April 15th.

After repeated listens it grew on me a bit. Fairly liking it overall, but at the same time I'm slightly disappointed.

Just started listening to the stream, first track was really odd, especially the vocals.

First and last track aren't too special, but everything in between has some really good moments.

seriously, this is real good and I haven't enjoyed a Say Anything this much since Was A Real Boy.

The only thing I don't like is the atrocious album art, its just weird to look at.

Dang related reviews made me realize I hadn't liked something this band has done in ages. I think the last thing I really enjoyed was in defense of the genre

The only thing that will surprise anyone by this band if this is surprisingly not awful.

hard to say, it's quite different than Hebrews. I personally think it's better, but I think it will come down to personal preference. it's a pretty raw effort, but I enjoy it more and more each time I hear it.
