This album is one of the best things I have listened to in quite a while.
These guys are totally nuts and musical genre hopping geniuses at the same time.

One of my mates is the drummer. Insane music and awesome dudes

^^Band is insanely talented indeed.

I definitely prefer Dog Fashion Disco to this as far as genre-hopping music is concerned, but to each his own.

I'm streaming Committed To A Bright Future [the only Dog Fashion Disco album available] on Spotify right now, they sound great, but in my humble opinion, DFD do not match the Aussies in terms of intensity, complexity and songwriting.
I haven't listened to their 2014 album (SC link in the news section is not working, sadly) but Dog Fashion Disco seem to be more rock-ish, whereas the foundations of Troldhaugen lie in extreme metal.
Speaking of Aussie prog metal bands, I know only a handful of them and they are all excellent and very different the one from the other.

Fair enough... haha

anyone who lives around sydney, they are playing at valve tonight (friday). definitely hit it up if you can.

It would be very interesting to see this band live and check how they play all that stuff on stage.

This sounds like FInntroll on acid. Pretty cool
