Eminem announces new LP, reveals 1st single

2014-08-25 by NordicMindset | 38 Comments
During the MTV VMA Awards, Eminem announced a new compilation album, Shady XV, with a
tentative November 28th Black Friday release date. It will be a double album, with the first
disc containing the greatest hits of the rapper's label, Shady Records, including songs by
Eminem, Bad Meets Evil, Slaughterhouse and Yelawolf, while the second disc features new
songs from Eminem and his labelmates. The compilation is set to come out fifteen years after
the 1999 formation of Shady Records and the release of his sophomore effort and major label
debut, The Slim Shady LP.

Shady XV's lead single, 'Guts Over Fear', features Australian-born singer-songwriter
Sia, and is also on the soundtrack for Antoine Fuqua's upcoming film The Equalizer.

Actually pretty good. Remember that there was only one year between SSLP and MMLP. So who knows, maybe he writes his best material when he writes it quickly.

Plus the lyric in Evil Twin: 'I need a change of pace cause the pace I'm working at is dangerous''. He's obviously been writing a lot recently. Hopefully it's got some decent features and has less awful hooks.

There are people saying it might be a reissue of Slim Shady LP with a few new tracks n stuff. Still possibility I think.

The hell is with all these artists releasing new albums after only a few months or a year after their last one? This is like the 5th album ive seen following that trend.

Alright, this is coming from the EminemMusic YouTube account: Shady XV will be a 2 CD album. Disc one will feature Eminem’s greatest hits while CD 2 will feature new material from Shady Records artists Eminem, Slaughterhouse, Bad Meets Evil, D-12 and Yelawolf

Its a compilation, not an album. Edit please.

So if trends are anything to follow.. this will be absolute shit.

I liked him better when he was popping pills and smoking a shit ton of weed.. I guess I'm getting old.
