sweet I jammed What It Is to Burn yesterday
Digging: Penfold - Amateurs and Professionals
holy shit. thought they broke up
Digging: Julie Byrne - Not Even Happiness
what a waste of a news article but still stoked so much
Digging: Hang The Bastard - Sex in the Seventh Circle
Such a terrible name for a band
what a waste of a news article
WHAT THE ACTUAL FUCK
just repost what I said yesterday:
band just announced a new album coming out this year, although my excitement level is down like, at least 40% since they said this particular album (Say Hello To Sunshine) is "out of their systems"
Digging: Zavala - Fantasmas
WIITB is better than Sunshine anyways :3
could have atleast stretched it out a bit more instead of just posting a link to another news article.
but, hey, calc, where did you hear them say that? That upsets me, too, if so, as Say Hello To Sunshine is one of my alltime favorite albums.
^^^ R2K said it in an interview, he said it was an album they had to make to prove they could do it and he's glad they got it out of their systems. They like the "energy" of their early stuff.
@Nik, ah yes. My articles aren't much better though lol
its not bad its just very very lazy is what im saying.
Such a terrible name for a band
well the alternative was "shitbrick"
count me as stoked!
I bet it's a 'What it is to Burn' remix album
Awesome, both their albums were great.
Well, I certainly didn't expect this.
What it is to Burn is fuckin' lame except for the two Palumbo songs, but Sunshine is amazing. They said Sunshine's now out of their systems, which to me translates to "we realised the first one sold a shit ton more", so this is probably gonna be hella disappointing.
whoa, outta nowhere!
i loved both their albums so i don't give a fuck. i just hope they don't take the fucking "taking back Sunday" route. the new album from them fucking sucks like every other since their 2nd album.
Yeah on one hand i'm excited but on the other idk...
Band sucks. Must be a nostalgia thing for a mediocre band.
Sunshine was never as nostalgia filled as WIITB, but the Daylight EP was good.
Not expecting much from this but it'd be cool to have them come back swinging.
What It Is To Burn has some golden tracks
Digging: Threshold - Extinct Instinct
For the longest time I thought there were icecubes on the cover of Burn
2014 is a good year for music.
Speaking of, what the hell IS on the cover?
lol they just went on a farewell tour, what
Wait, they're not ice cubes? I thought that was brilliant, with the title...
Didn't they just finish making a big deal about breaking up?
Digging: Teitanblood - Death
indeed that's why i am so surprised. the new album must suck!
I can really only get into a few songs by these guys
If they go back to What It Is To Burn's sound, I'm going to lose interest pretty hard, which will be depressing.
What the hell? Didn't these guys break up like 5 times already?
best news ever
I hate everything!!!!!!!!! They are on Warped Tour but are not gonna play any dates near me...
2014 is a good year for music
If its not like SHTS probably won't be fantastic but still excited
Digging: Nine Inch Nails - Not The Actual Events
Remember hearing they got signed, was expecting this and am glad it's announced, they kicked ass at Soundwave this year and WISTB is nostalgic as hell
that moment when i realize WIITB is TWELVE YEARS OLD.
my inner 10 year old is going berserk, will be hyping this
well they already almost finished making an album when they last split up, and there are demos online of the whole album, as well as an EP of two finished songs. i really liked those songs and demos so im hoping and assuming that the album is just going to be a release of what they already recorded from those times. doubt they will have had time to make an entirely new album anyway so im stoked.
It's about time.
Digging: Japandroids - Near To The Wild Heart Of Life
I was literally talking to a mate of mine yesterday about Finch. Was pretty gutted when they broke up.
OMG OMG OMG
BROTHER BLEED BROTHER!!!!!!!
Sweet band. Looking forward to this.
ohhhhhh man. now thursday, poison the well, hopesfall, and thrice just need to get back together and we'll have a rodeo.
thrice are like 70% sure to make another album and tour, the lead singer was talking about it.
if they progress deeper into shts territory this could be monumental
fuck hopesfall for only doing a coulpe of shows, i want a new goddamn record!
This better not be WIITB 2. That album is such mediocre uninspired garbage. On the other hand, Say Hello to Sunshine is such a great album. They managed to create something that was unique and attention grabbing despite the fact that no member of the band is an extremely skilled musician. I don't need SHTS 2. I'm sure that the band has outgrown a lot of the aggression that was on the album, and and attempt to recreate the magic on that album would probably come off as forced. I just hope that they will continue to go in an experimental direction.
Pretty stoked but if they go in a more WIITB direction like they're hinting at, it won't be all that great.
Wow, I loved Finch back in the day. Great news. What It Is To Burn was incredible.
