Digging: Hawk Eyes - Everything Is Fine

Chance one was good
He released a third song called Dirty Vibe feat G-Dragon and CL.
Anyways, I liked "All is Fair etc" but the other two were kinda eh
Digging: Kamasi Washington - The Epic
Oh so he's doing drum & bass now as well?
i hope he doesnt touch another fucking subgenre... EVER.

The irony in here is killing me
hoping for some limited edition cassette tapes or something
thats already enough for a review
I expect at least 2 reviews by the time I log on in the morning
Go team, go!
Lol @releasing your debut album 2 years after your popularity peaks
to surprise everyone
lol just was about to ask someone why is he releasing his debut LP now if he was popular like years ago
"Lol @releasing your debut album 2 years after your popularity peaks"
Well, some people like to stay >"relevant"
Listened to it completely and liked it. Features are great, his production values are much better and
his melody-writing actually improved as well. Also nice to see that he finally REALLY tries some new
ideas on this thing.
Oh yeah, sorry, he's Skrillex. Let me try this again.
OH NO IT'S SO SHIT. Can't he stop already? Sounds all the SAME. WUB WUB.
(Fav. Tracks: Coast is Clear, Dirty Vibe, Doompy Poomp, Recess, Fire Away)
Digging: The Legend Lady J - Glock N My Hand
calm down hurricanslash
I'm just pissed that people won't even give this album a fair chance. I mean, I kinda expected that, but damn, I was optimistic for a few seconds.
What do you consider to be "new ideas" though? He tried something new on his last EP and look how well that went - he even had other producers calling him out. I completely agree that Skrillex is the kind of artist who unwittingly inspires so much vitriol, but when it comes to pre-conceived notions it's kinda hard to not lay at least some of the blame at the artist himself
Not to mention his basic lack of production skills, his band-wagoning, his reliance on the exact same song structure for just about every song. And then when he attempts to mix it up he instead just ends up ripping off other artists
this is pretty bad
"I'm just pissed that people won't even give this album a fair chance. "
I did, it just sounds like a mish-mash of his recycled sounds mixed with some pretty lame rap
i'm sure this is undoubtedly terrible
Digging: BT - ESCM
if he didn't feel the need to still go full retard wubs on us here and there the album could be somewhat decent i guess
gdragon is on the album so it's by default better than abysmal
"Stream isn't available in your country."
The first new track isn't that terrible, just predictable. It'll get club play here regardless of that though, it's got some things going for it that the locals still dig.
Don't really expect much more from him anymore, think he should just stick to promoting his label and randomly showing up to parties with his CDJs.
Digging: Silverstein - This Is How the Wind Shifts
I'm streaming now. I've only heard, and flipping dig, Stranger. Is that an album track? What is going on?
Hmmmm actually excited for this. Will listen.
yeah had medium-sized expectations for this but it honestly sucks
me nd my nigga skrillexxx
stream not available in america what blasphemy is this
this guy lost his relevancy faster than ken griffey jr.
azn it's available on some fan's soundcloud account
I didn't know he was actually ever going to release an LP. That said, I'm listening to the song with Chance The Rapper and it's pretty good.
It took him this long to do this? Yikes.
All is Fair isn't a bad track. not a big Skrilly fan though
ok nevermind i just realized the others were EPs whoops my bad
Album is actually quite different from the general idea of "brostep." It's actually worth the listen. I find it pretty fresh, perhaps the meatheads at his shows won't dig it..but fuck them right lol?
I could actually see his appeal with the whole brostep thing, but this debut lacks even that, so now
he's practically the same as every other shmuck. Like that reggaeton track, god almighty. Annoying or
lame, pick your Skrillex
Is a 5.
this first song good lord, has he learned nothing? shit producer, damn.
brostep is over, it was over a year ago. what the hell skrill skrill, shakin mah head.
Digging: Hop Along - Painted Shut
wub wub nigga
ok I kind of like the third song...
I used to love Skrillex but I dunno, this is kind of disappointing. His "new" ideas are done better by other artists, and the "brostep" songs aren't as good as his previous ones. Maybe it'll grow on me but I dunno
Doompy Poomp hahahah what the fuck. he actually used the "boing!!!" noise!!!
ok ok i'm done, i will stop live-tweeting about my experience with this album.
TAKE ME WITH YOU
WHEN YOU GOOOOO
F F F FUCK THIS PLACE
THAT WE CALL HOME
d'awww he thinks he's deep. so cute :3
ughhhhh some songs have sections that are actually good and then he ruins it with some lame sample or "bass"
this could have been good if Skrillex wasn't an idiot
that reggaeton track was horrendous
OH MY GOOOOOOOOOODDDDDDD
