2014-02-12 by ASnideReturns | 43 Comments
Alternative Rock band Red have recently announced that they will be re-releasing their
fourth studio album Release The Panic. It has been revealed that several of the tracks from the album will be completely re-recorded from the ground up and several new tracks will be added. It has also been confirmed that Rob Graves (the producer of Red's first three albums) and Howard Benson (the producer of Red's fourth album) will be joining Red in the studio once again. This re-release will be called "Release the Panic: Recalibrated."

On another note, long time drummer for the band Joe Rickard has announced his departure from Red once the re-release is finished.

Band Statement about Joe:

"What's up REDNATION!!! We trust that you are all doing great! We wanted to officially
announce that tonight in Phoenix, AZ we played our final show with Joe. After 6 years in
RED, he has decided to step away from touring and try new things. Joe will be joining us in
the studio to work on the Spring release of "Release the Panic: Re-Calibrated", but will no
longer be drumming with RED. We love him and wish him the best as always! RED will move on
as Michael,Anthony and Randy and we aren't going anywhere!!! Can't wait to see you all in
February on tour. We Love you all!!! RELEASE THE PANIC..."

A lot of this band's stuff on this site is completely overrated, never understood why Innocence and Instinct was held in pretty good regards

To me, it all comes across as another mainstream Alt-metal carbon copy. Also the strings are extremely overused, it makes the songs come across as overly-polished and melo-dramatic

I was more or less commenting on the abundance of !'s, not the state of their personal relationship

Perhaps they could use a new publicist. Sometimes Randy writes the messages though.

End of Silence is so overrated.

These words... is it possible to use them in a sentence?

I like the acoustic songs from End of Silence more than the actual songs themselves. And the album is nowhere near as good as Innocence & Instinct.

I thought the loss of a strings was a good idea as it showed that they wanted to move foreword with their sound. If anything, it's a sign of improvement.

It might have worked if they didn't have Howard f***ing Benson as producer.

I don't hate Release the Panic; I'm just sorely disappointed in it. Most of the good songs are in the last half of the album.

Yeah, disappointment is one thing, but people are just trashing this album like shit on here.
