These guys are one of those bands that I always thought were great but hardly ever listen to them.

John Haughm said on his official FB that this isn't similar to Marrow and Faustian Echoes.

That's not entirely surprising because of what Nero said: all of their albums have been very different.

Haven't listened to it in a while but it was definitely a good record. It was different from the rest of their discog but I liked the metal aspects of it. Having actual black metal sections in Agalloch songs was pretty great.

I'm hoping the new Saor and Lantlos make up for this album potentially being underwhelming. I dunno though, I read one review that said the album was awesome. Hopefully this is just a grower. I mean, it's Agalloch; it's not like we're going to be impatient with the music.
