I happened to see these guys live once a few years back and didn't think they were too bad... But man all of their recordings are horrendous.

Probably their weakest release since their debut. Unfortunate.

Some really good tracks (Fight The Silence, Break The Cycle) album is good but not as good as any other album they put out.

Moshpotatoes, those are the 2 worst (most generic) tracks. A Call To Arms is actually pretty good, for those of you willing to give this album a chance.

I had to look it up because I was curious why they referred to as 'controversial'.
It's a Christian metal band. Why is being a religious band controversial? Who cares what the religion of the band members happens to be?

fatherless is cute. Pariah is a sick track too. 17 year old me would dig this. Nice guys.

Controversial because they like to speak out about how gays are abominations.

Considering checking this out, if anything just so that when I go to buy The Satanist on Monday I have something to balance it out (also for the fun of trying to confuse the clerk by buying an obviously Satanic album next to a known Christian metal band's new release), but I don't have high hopes and if I don't think it's that great I might give this a miss.
