yeahhh I like this more than the last single they released, let the hype continue!

That is a neat main riff! New album is going to be slick.
|
| |
they've released like half the album already lol
|
| |
They released the entire album to kickstarters. Listened through and it's seriously such a huge improvement, especially with vocals.
|
| |
They've only released two songs haha. Got my kickstarter code this mornin though, pretty excited about that
|
| |
2? i coulda swore its been like 4 or 5. oh well. albums pretty good though.
|
| |
I should have helped on Kickstarter!
I seriously fell in love with their last album and have looped it probably close to a hundred times. It's the technicality and melody that get to me. Almost nobody can do those two things right at the same time.
The two songs I've heard so far from this album sound like they're on par with the best songs from LA,L , so I'm pretty excited for this.

| |
Yeah I thought it was 2 idk but man this sucks my computers messed up and all I have is my iPad so I can't even DL or hear the whole album ...uggh
|
| |
Albums leaked, it's pretty neat. I like Love Always, Leviathan better though.
|
| |
Is it on YouTube?

What did you like better about it? I found their last album to be overall stellar, but because about half of the tracks REALLY stood out, while others were "just" pretty good.
I've found the two tracks here to be amazing - are they just the highlights of an ok album?
I just Dropbox'd myself the leak so that when I get home from work I can bask in its glory.

I like the new one quite a bit after a couple listens. It's probably going to be in the 4 range like their other two are for me.
|
| |
For those that have heard it already is it more like Leviathan or Spotless Mind? Personally, I like the more poppy sound the had on Spotless Mind a bit more.
|
| |
You know, to me it's just more of the same but more messy (at the moment, maybe I need more listens to distinguish everything). Lots of tapping, lots of random drum parts for the sake of their being something going on behind the vocals. It's very chaotic and it's in every song, but I understand that's sort of their thing, it's just not pulled off as well this time around. The thing I loved about Love Always, Leviathon is that the instrumentation was based around the vocals, or the melody. I'm not finding that in this. I'd say Dethroned and The Pharmacist are the highlights.
|
| |
I really enjoyed the drumming, especially in The Pharmicist.
|
| |
So far, like what i hear.

I feel like this might be a grower.
The two songs released before the album really are the two best and catchiest, but others have their moments. The problem, if it can be considered one, is that, like Zeiu said, the rest are all just 'messy' and sort of run into each other. I honestly can't differentiate the second half of the album at all. It's just a whole lot of the samey vocals over amazing drums and a lot of noodling. It's not a bad thing, it's just entirely different from how their last album felt. A lot less structured around singular cool melodies.

| |
^this.. 8 through 12 are all a blur to me. great moments everywhere
|
| |
I don't really feel that way about this one. Their last album kind of had that going for a little while until I listened to it enough times. The lead guitar was overly samey sounding on it, and I had trouble differentiating a lot of the songs from each other for the first week or two because of it.
|
| |
Then again I thought the exact same about the last TesseracT album, but listen to it enough times and you'll start to differentiate. I guess this album just isn't as hook-heavy as their previous stuff.

New album is an improvement. 8-10 are a bit ho hum, but everything else is killer and I can actually tell the difference between tracks.
