Arizona thrash band Flotsam and Jetsam are down to the last thirty days of their current Pledge Music drive, and have reached 49% of their goal. The money is going towards the re-recording of their seminal 1988 release, No Place For Disgrace.

If you'd like to donate in order to help the band reach 100% (as well as get a copy of the re-recorded album), visit the following site:

How do you know it will be worse? It's basically the same line-up with better recording equipment. Also, the money just covers the cost of the recording and whatever they end up sending you.

There's nothing wrong with the original recording, this is stupid.

That was the reasoning behind Testament's First Strike Still Deadly, and that album blows

Bro, listen to Willie.

Count me in. Flotsam's debut deserves it.

This is them realizing that they haven't produced anything worthwhile or of merit in the past 25 years and trying to cash in again on one of their two good albums.

Their last album is one of their best.

Not exactly. I'm just saying that re-recording an old album with better instruments/equipment/producer/whatever doesn't always make a superior product.

The only re-recording that I like better than the original is "Pyosisified" by Carcass, and that is just one song, not a whole album.

That's true. The Anacrusis re-releases are one&one. The re-recording of the debut is better, but the re-recording of their sophomore release isn't. Everyone is just being cynical about something they haven't even heard yet and that was obviously done due to the amount of requests they were getting.
