Brand New headlined. They played for like an hour and a half, Thrice got a 40 minute set, and mwY had a half hour.

They did a "full blown tour" in support of Daisy in fall 2009 as well. I think that is their most
recent. I could be wrong. I attended the show in San Jose (was a three hour drive for me at the
time). So worth it. They are a blast live. Manchester Orchestra was playing in support, too. Great
fucking show.

Brand New live is a totally different experience than listening to their albums, imo. If you're looking for a polished sound, forget about it. It's straight up catharsis and I wouldn't want it any other way. Most of the songs become a whole other beast live.

See, I would've been totally into the show if this were true. I like their catharsis way more than any sort of polished aspect of their sound. But tracks like Degausser and You Won't Know are actually cathartic on the album with Lacey's emotional yell that has a lot of raw energy. But when I saw him live he sent some emotionless awkward scream through a separate mic from his clean one that had layers of distortion on it to try to make it sound aggressive, and it was just lame as hell. I mean yeah, the audience was into it so it was at least somewhat salvaged. But as far as the actual performance put on by the band, it was shit.

When I saw Brand New three years ago Jesse Lacey flashed his genitals to the audience.

I was two rows back from the stage and I couldn't see a thing. No balls, and definitely no ding.

I mean if you gave TDAGARIM a 5, then yeah you'll probably enjoy the show. But I don't think they (especially Jesse) are a good live band.
