A Day To Remember Self-Release

2013-08-30 by andcas | 46 Comments
It looks like A Day To Remember will be self-releasing their brand new full-length album Common Courtesy scheduled to drop on October 8th, 2013. The band has still not settled the ongoing lawsuit with Victory Records and the label has been dead silent in promotion of any kind since the date was set.

Luckily for the members this will be seen as an all profit opportunity as they recorded everything in the vocalists home studio and funded the entire project. It will be out in time for a fall arena tour where the returns should be more than enough until the issues that previously pushed things back gets resolved.

Always tend to enjoy when a band self releases, good for them (I'm really glad they didn't do a Kickstarter or some other crowd funding).

Their last record was almost terrible, so let's hope the material is good. Otherwise, that's cool.

I'm surprised they didn't pull a fan funding Indiegogo thing. With their fan base they would have got their number probably in a quarter of the time it took, protest the hero.

It's the same guy, Andrew Wade, who produced both Homesick and WSMFY. Get to facts straight.

They stay there because they're contractually obligated to release a certain number of albums on the label.

Yeah, record labels could practically be nonexistent now with bandcamp's popularity, why screw over the bands that actually bring you the most income? YOU'RE ONLY HURTING YOURSELF!
