Gorguts post new song

2013-08-14 by Voivod STAFF | 27 Comments
French-Canadian avant-garde death metal group Gorguts are streaming the eponymous song from their upcoming (on September 3) and highly anticipated album Colored Sands, at their bandcamp location.

You can listen to the track right here: http://gorguts.bandcamp.com/track/colored-sands

Apart from the eponymous song, the previously posted songs 'An Ocean Of Wisdom' and 'Forgotten Arrows', are also available from the same source.

Is this the part where we pretend we haven't heard it already?

I haven't, since you're asking.

I have a ton of other albums in physical copy to absorb, so I'm coping with the posted tracks for the time being.

You know I edit out every time you type "deathsters", "doomsters" etc, right?

Of course I know Dev.

And I'm not doing it on purpose, because your edits take place on "words" that are actually implemented in metal music journalism.

I don't know how old you are, but back in the mid '90s, Vanesa Warwick from MTV's Headbangers' Ball was using the terms "deathsters", "doomsters" etc, in the same way "youngster" is being (frequently/casually) used in English English.

And Vanessa was an English citizen too, speaking English English, of course.

I'm not doing it because I don't consider their relevance in the great big world of slang and/or abbreviations but honestly, because it just sounds kinda silly (not a dig at you btw). Like "blacksters" just sounds bad, and not in an incidentally racist way either

I didn't have the slightest clue as to what "blackster" could mean, until you made it clear in our previous conversation.

Anyway, I guess I should review my choices in the near future with regard to this matter.

Greece has access only to Spotify's free of charge services.

Is it a free stream or fees have to be paid in order to access it?

Well I pay and I have access to the stream, don't know about 'free' users though.

Eventually, the album will be streaming at bandcamp too.

I think that everything that you can stream on spotify is available to all users, free or paid. The paid just has some added benefits which would actually be cool if I didn't already download everything.

Dumb argument up top too. Leaving in "deathsters" and "doomsters" is completely harmless. And besides, that stuff is vintage Voivod.
