| |
2013 will never be topped.

| |

| |

Fuck yes. Wonder if they will be playing any of these new songs when I see them in October.
| |
The Flow Reversed had better not be one of the songs.
| |
it's not
| |
There's a track list. Include it in the article.
| |
no
| |
Fuck, just give up already Cult of Luna and Rosetta. You're both riding on old trendy coattails.
| |
karl vs. alex
go
| |
i'll fight u karl lesgo
| |
Gotta get seats for this!
| |
no one beats the wolfe man
| |
Vertikal was a great record, hope these aren't just a bunch of b-sides
| |
BRING IT ON!
Seriously, post-metal mostly died when Isis quit. Neurosis is the only trve saviour.
| |
"hope these aren't just a bunch of b-sides"
they are
and Karl I pretty much agree with you totally and CoL did change their sound but I really like it and still support them because they're not purposely fitting in to one specific genre.
| |
'Seriously, post-metal mostly died when Isis quit. Neurosis is the only trve saviour'
DUDE! Mouth of the.. oh fuck it... yea, post metal died..
| |
wasn't even old enough to fuck other genres legally
| |
I will never get the love for Isis. Cool news though.
| |
but had a blast before dying anyway
| |
I'd better listen to the first record now.
| |
that record has some powerful riffs
| |
Shu you're never gonna convince Karl mota is good he is quite particular
| |
he's just not accepting the low quality outputs of bands declining or bands following the stagnation
| |
Awesome, I listen to Vertikal a lot.
| |
yeah there are some post metal records out there worth checking out that weren't put out by Neurosis,
ISIS or CoL but they're comparatively few and far between compared with the quality those three
released
| |
Already got this : ]
| |
yeah me too
| |
Sure you do ; ]
| |
I saw Robert's soundoff, but how'd you like it, Wolfe?
| |
pretty much agree
| |
: ]
| |
Is it any different as a standalone piece versus as an extension of the album?
| |
cut it out with the faces jeez
extension
| |
Yes, but having the remix at the end kind of prevents that. The three new tracks are a whole another page out of the same Cult Of Luna book.
| |
Are they up to par with the album tracks, or do they sound like B-sides?
Also, Robert, how did you get a copy of this?
| |
I'd say on par but I need more listens
| |
Well, since Vertikal is probably my second or third favorite CoL album that makes me even more excited for this.
| |
They're on par for sure, they could have easily been slotted in with the release earlier in the year.
Sput's staffers' aren't the only ones who receive promos dude, I've got the new Soulfly coming in now.
| |
I have a chance of getting an Ulcerate promo but we'll see. Either way, ..|. to both of you for having this already. I hate you.
| |
You should jump on the Ataraxie FB page, they're after reviews for their upcoming (already reviewed it hey ; ])
| |
i earn my gifts for helping them get shows over here
| |
You could always write for me Ryan...
| |
*insert excited comment here*
| |
Yay
| |

They still sound like CoL and I will admit they've carved out their own sound. Just a really boring one. I like their adventurous leap they took on Somewhere Along the Highway and then it's downhill from there.
| |
already preordered
| |
For great justice
| |
'he's just not accepting the low quality outputs of bands declining or bands following the stagnation'
hold up, my shotty is around here somewhere
| |
Isis and Neurosis are both amazing bands, but they're not all that post-metal has to offer as a genre... so it's hard to call the genre dead when groups like MoTA, We Lost The Sea, Cult of Luna, and so on are still producing quality material rather recently while being labelled as post-metal.
| |
"Isis and Neurosis are both amazing bands, but they're not all that post-metal has to offer as a genre... "
agreed only neurosis is
