Sorry about the format, I went back to edit something and it made everything ugly.
| |
Sounding good! Well undoubtly be better in the context of the album
| |
Not bad but not very Arctic Monkeys to my ears
| |
They sound like The Black Keys a bit here to me (Attack & Release/Brothers era).
| |
Sounds amazing like usual.
Band can do no wrong even though their last one was probably their weakest...
| |
Eh, just seems like a good continuation from Suck It And See to me. As long as Alex keeps on providing vocals, they'll always sound like Arctic Monkeys to me, no matter the musical style.
| |
ugh, sounds like a slowed down verison of RU Mine (which I love) with a worse melody and some pretty cringeworthy lyrics
absolutely love this band despite alex's posing but this is disappointing
| |
I think it sounds great. It's catchy, with a bit of a dark twist to it, and overall catchy. I for one am looking forward to this album, especially since they said they were recording it in the Desert again like Humbug. I've liked everything they've done so far (except for half of Suck It And See).
| |
Strange, I'm thinking that Suck It And See might be their second-best.
| |
Song is pretty decent.
| |
swee gotta check
| |
all i want is favourite worst nightmare part two is that so much to ask
| |
Yes because they have insisted on sucking massive dick for two albums now, so it's safe to say that they are never coming back. Optimism.. Mehr
| |
I like the direction they are going in, as song writers they have matured.
Although, I do admit I prefer their more brash/bratty attitude on the older records.
| |
humbug was incredibly lame apart from cornerstone and my propeller but i actually thought suck it and see had some of their best songwriting despite the more generic sound
| |
I loved Humbug, but hey ho each to their own.
| |
I want that more dirty attitude they have going on in their first two albums
| |
it had its moments for sure, but to me it sounded like a bunch of kids trying to be mature and heavy
and it not really suiting them at all
| |
The psychedelic rock sound of Humbug was the reason the I got into them, and I think it's their best yet-- but to each his own really. I like every album, they've done, and I admire them for changing their game in every release. SIAS wasnt my favourite, but the b-sides were all good and they've kept saying that this album would be in that heavier style so I'm still optimistic.
| |
i always thought suck it and see was really strong apart from brick by brick and maybe love is a laserquest
| |
To be honest, it loses appeal to me with each listen. "All My Own Stunts", "Hellcat", and "That's where youre wrong" are the only
songs I like from it now.
| |
no love for black treacle?
| |
^ Aside with Reckless Serenade the best song on Suck It
| |
i always thought that 'don't sit down 'cause i've moved your chair' is the only heavy arctic monkeys song that really convices
| |
I thought that was like the worst Monkeys song, a lyrical mess.
| |
yeah the lyrics are stupid but the riffage man
| |
and brick by brick is without doubt the worst monkeys song
| |
^ Wrong!
There are no bad Monkeys songs
| |
if i can't get fwn2 then hopin for an album of sabbath ripoffs like r u mine?
| |
Brick by Brick sucks, agreed.
| |
'There are no bad Monkeys songs'
didn't say it was bad, just least good
| |
and RU mine hardly sounds like sabbath
they do both have guitars in i guess, never thought of that
| |
just referrin to the guitar tone/style in the instrumental break
and the drums are p bill ward
| |
Good stuff
| |
i've gotta agree with xing and say that this doesn't sound much like them to me either
also yeah their first 2 albums >>>
| |
new song's aight
| |
video is v cool
| |
Yeah band has no bad songs. Just some that are better than others
| |
Drums are far too loud in the mix of this song, over powers the vocals and guitars. Aside from that its pretty ace.
| |
Not too bad. Little bit flat overall. Might need a few more listens.
| |
just listened to suck it and see a few times again and it's fecking great
| |
Yay!
| |
Not bad but is inconsistent compared to a lot of material made by this band
| |
how can a song be inconsistent?
| |
I really like this, but I also think Suck It & See had a lot of their best songs on it.
| |
I don't like this band apart from their debut... I mean is this Kasabian or what?
| |
nice
| |
this band's alright. they got a few good tunes, including this one. wouldn't call myself a big fan though.
| |
Holy fuck there is a lot of "lebowski" in this thread.
Liking the song.
| |
Alright.
| |
No idea why, but I like Brick by Brick. Don't know why it gets so much hate.
| |
the lyrics seem to be the main target of criticism but to be fair matt helders wrote them and not alex
| |
reminds me of the black keyes which isn't a bad thing a guess nothing incredible though
| |
