why is thomas erak not mentioned
sloppy news article
Digging: Trophy Scars - Never Born, Never Dead
don't you know? Craig Owens is back. It's no longer Chiodos anymore. It's now Craig and da boyz again!!!
lol "integrity filled rock music"
Digging: Opeth - Pale Communion
if anything Erak is the best thing to happen to this band
hope he doesn't sing though :/
"if anything Erak is the best thing to happen to this band
hope he doesn't sing though :/"
I normally would agree with you so hard but I considering the singer now I wouldn't be so averse to it.
Digging: Kashiwa Daisuke - April. #02
I feel like craig has improved dramatically though, that's the thing
he's no longer intolerable
thomas has slipped since doppelganger, unfortunately
I'm actually expecting some good music.
i DISAGREE WITH YOU!!!!!
he sounded good on JLV latest. craig sounds exactly the same. but I havent heard him since DRUGS, so here's hoping he got some bass in his voice.
Now promptly drop them
Digging: Monuments - The Amanuensis
nah dude compare him on Bone Palace to him on DRUGS
much smoother delivery. hope it's not production magic though
tom sounded great on doppelganger, not sure why his voice changed
wait wat erak joined this band
who knows, it was out of the blue
as i've said before, can you imagine the possible carnage of craig owens AND thom erak singing together? good god
look, i don't give a fuck, i kinda like craig owens' voice
Not to insult their audience, but I am shocked these kinds of bands are still around.
god the harsh vox are going to go back to being shitty
Digging: Fallujah - The Flesh Prevails
wait isn't razor in tie a christian label?
this is gonna blow... The lineup on their last album was awesome.
Digging: Our Last Night - Oak Island
nah, Razor & Tie is a huge label. It has everything from Chelsea Grin to The Wiggles.
"It's no longer Chiodos anymore. It's now Craig and da boyz again"
"as i've said before, can you imagine the possible carnage of craig owens AND thom erak singing together? good god"
haha It's gonna be a HUGE headache.
God there's still a market for this stuff? I was big into TFoT and Chiodos in like 08 & 09, but then I matured and realized there's a lot better music out there than post-hardcore. The whole "scene" thing is basically non-existent now, who's still into it and listening to this shit?
I loved Erak's guitar playing in his earlier years, but dude's really fallen off since 2007/2008. Not to mention those horrid vox he insists on spewing out....

123. The thought of people still listening to this particular brand of post-hardcore makes me cringe
Doppelgänger > astrobrite's life.
Ghostship > astrobrite's future children's lives.
Ghostship demos maybe
Chiodos Picked Up By Labia
"123. The thought of people still listening to this particular brand of post-hardcore makes me cringe"
It's a pretty enjoyable thing for me to be frank, AWTEW and their latest were both favorites of mine.
Digging: The Cure - The Head on the Door
All I want is more Cinematic Sunrise. That was so easily the best thing Craig has ever been a part of because that actually suited his voice perfectly.
guilty pleasure aoty
Will listen for old times sake
I hate Fall of Troy and Chiodos' last two albums but I will listen anyway
Digging: Empire! Empire! (I Was a Lonely Estate) - You Will Eventually Be Forgotten
fuck that song was so fun to play on guitar back in the day oh mannnnnn gotta re-learn some of that shit, I think I still rememver
I like All's Well That End's Well a lot actually, lots of great guitar parts
Damn I even remember the guitar from Baby You Wouldn't Last a Minute on The Creek wow this arpeggio is kind of like Street Spirit wow fun
i like craig THERE I SAID IT
all Nereids rulls
Digging: Walknut - Graveforests And Their Shadows
I jammed the fuck out of Isles and Glaciers too
in retrospect. that whole album is decent.
Curious to see how this turns out.
Needs moar Erak
Dude, yes. Isles and glaciers is fun stuff. I have listened to the ep so many times, but I have never listened to the pointless interlude I deleted upon getting the disk. Craig is pretty good in that release, but DRUGS was really bland.
Very bland indeed.
This is really good news!
Kinda interested to see if their sound has changed and improved after all these years, especially getting Owens back.
