Sigur Rós have released the lyric video to their new track 'Ísjaki' - (meaning 'Iceberg' in English) to YouTube.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dF6E47Pn6mY

The track is taken from the band's upcoming studio album 'Kveikur', which is set to be released in Europe and the USA on June 17th and 18th respectively. This album follows only a year after their well received previous album 'Valtari', and sees them take a significantly different direction to their previous effort.

The album can be pre-ordered at the following links:

Not at all like "Brennisteinn" but a fantastic song nevertheless. Kind of reminds me of their sound on Takk...

It sounds like I just felt into the glacial waters of Antartic Ocean but was saved by a bypassing polar
bear telling me it's alright.

What the fuck was Brennisteinn all about then? Introducing a new sound a just abandoning it?

all the new tracks sounded to fit together well when i saw them live. this doesn't seem all that different from brennistein. it's like a darker take on the takk sound, i think.

Yeah sounds like a darker version of the songs on Takk. Can't wait to hear the whole album.

this will easily slot into the new album alongside brennisteinn. this has the same restless clattering drums. and it's very different to takk's sound too.

Sigur Ros know what they're doing people. When have they just made a collection of songs that don't work together as an album before? Have faith.

Good song
