Storm Thorgerson dies
2013-04-20 by Brendan Schroer STAFF | 39 Comments

English graphic designer Storm Thorgerson has passed away; he was 69 years old. He had been
battling cancer for years, but it would seem that he unfortunately lost the fight.
Thorgerson was notable for designing artwork for bands such as Dream Theater, Pink Floyd,
Europe, Muse, Black Sabbath, Genesis, and many more. The artwork for Pink Floyd's 1973 album
Dark Side of the Moon is commonly regarded as Thorgerson's greatest achievement.

Sad loss for the music community. His album covers left an impression on anyone who saw them.

BTW Dark Side Of The Moon was released in 1973.

Looking up some of his other works right now, it's amazing how many classic albums he did covers for... Deloused and Frances the Mute, most of Pink Floyd's career, Houses of the Holy! RIP
