Ryan Parrish and Paul Burnette started another group called Iron Reagan when they quit DH.

Darkest Hour is awesome especially Undoing Ruin.

Any of those unfamiliar with our previous efforts, the Darkest Hour records we were a part of are some of the music that is very dear to our hearts, and we want to together rereate that experience and bring you with us.

This sounds pretty sweet. Don't know what more I should expect; it sounds like a high quality DH tune (if you add vocals, proper drums, etc.).

they all quit the band cause they wanted to, not cause of personal problems between the members, not to mention kris and DH are still really cool, according to interviews and such.

I don't see how you guys don't get the implication. Three of the "classic" members quit the band to form a band that sounds almost identical. They could have just had Norris rejoin and branded this a new DH record and nothing would be different other than the fact that we'd now get John's vox instead.

Kris quit years ago to better support his family, Ryan left more than a year ago, and Paul left a while later. they didnt all quit at the same time. and no, they couldnt have simply had Kris rejoin, there is another member in the band filling his position. you cant cant just kick people out of your band and be like "sorry bro, we want our old member back so, you gotta go." dont act like you know whats going on with a band when you barely have anything to go by.

they left years ago! years! they wrote music that sounds like DH, cause they were in the band at one point and wrote music for DH. honestly i dont see why you think they have some hate towards each other. not to mention i just said they left on good merits. have you ever heard of some horrible story about a fight in DH? no?

I have no problem with there being two Darkest Hours. Especially if they release albums on alternating years. More gotherburgy goodness. He may not be AS good but Carrigan can still tear up a mean solo.

Glad to see controversy over this post. THR was a good record and this might be too. And if any of you guys want they are taking submissions for vocals. Imma try even though Im not gonna get it. Its worth a shot for all you vocalists here.

@zippa as good as carrigan? hes better than carrigan. carrigan cant play some of the shit that Kris left behind, and Kris is just a better riff writer overall. he wrote on Deliver Us so he automatically wins.

I wish I enjoyed the Kris Norris Project more than I did. I bought the physical copy and I was so let down. :/
