I liked it well enough. Definitly softer but it's a single so i dont mind too much. Reminiscent of the song Silent Waters

I guess Silent Waters was the last of the good Amorphis, everything since has been so dull, and this song strait up sucks. Bummer.

I actually liked Skyforger (and it had the best album art of 2009!) I feel like alot of people were trying to look at Skyforger in the same regard as their old albums. Yeah, Skyforger is a pretty shitty doom/death album, but it's a very decent progressive metal album. If you look at the album on it's own, without letting your expectations influence your opinion, you might be surprised.

it's okay. nothing special though. missing that magic that Silent Waters had, that all of their newer stuff lacks.

Skyforger is really good, but The Beginning of Times is pretty damn boring. I'm not really all that excited about the new album either.

Skyforger was only two albums ago. Bands have the right to suck for 1-2 albums in a row.

Meh. Every track off of Silent Waters and most off of Skyforger bury this track.

Silent Waters is one of my favorite albums ever so I'm not really expecting this album to live up to it. Not expecting it to be as good as Skyforger either.

It can be a positive experience for a band to release a shitty album here and there. It encourages them to recapture what made them great in the first place. If it takes Amorphis a couple of albums to get back to Eclipse/Silent Waters, then so be it.

It's not bad... I'll have to listen to more as the album comes out.
