The Return Of Nine Inch Nails

2013-02-25 by Raul Stanciu STAFF | 56 Comments
Trent Reznor has announced the return of Nine Inch Nails. Himself, along with former collaborators Alessandro Cortini, Ilan Rubin and Eric Avery of Jane's Addiction, Adrian Belew of King Crimson & Josh Eustis of Telefon Tel Aviv will embark on a tour slated to begin with some shows this summer and continue throughout the year, ending in 2014.

There is also a new album in the works, but Reznor hasn't given many details, except for the fact that he's been developing some musical ideas along with Adrian Belew.

I'm really glad NIN are active again, but bummed because there's no Robin Finck in the line-up

Hopefully the new NIN will have a new iteration of the sound rather than yet another album that sounds like Year Zero (I like the album, but Trent used to mix up his style each album cycle).

At least the live shows will be great...but a new album? I was really let down by Slip, it was boring but I'll give NIN a chance at redemption

"well that hiatus didn't last long."
It's 3 years and 8 months longer than the Foo Fighters hiatus

We knew NIN would come back, but I did expect the hiatus to last a little longer

It's been almost 5 years and will most probably turn into 6 until a new record will see the light of day. It's long enough for me. Why the hell didn't he pick Finck? I love that man, it fits NIN perfectly.

Supposedly he will release a greatest hits album after the tour in early 2014 and then a new studio album (LP) in late 2014. The greatest hits album will include 2 unreleased tracks. I am so excited for this tour. Mostly, because Alessandro Cortini is back on the keyboards. I am a huge fan of modwheelmood and oldblindfreak his side projects. It is important they kept him, as he was a member of the original line up from previous tours. I really am stoked to see these guys live!

It' s comforting that this news is true, I love Maynard's music but the fact that Trent doesn't dick his fans around makes him even greater. So pumped for whatever he releases with nails.
